modular404 is a music label that is 100% dedicated to modular tracks. All released tracks have a fixed length of 404 seconds (6m 44s). There are NO genres/styles restriction.

Why modular404?

modular404 wants to stimulate artists to be in the moment, without “save” or “total recall” functionality. A modular performance is like dancing on a rope for real. A DAW productions is like walking on a rope, but with a safety net: you can fall anytime and just assemble the good parts together as a constructed rope dance: an art in itself, with often amazing results, but completely different compared to a modular performance. Many electronic music lovers are confused: when they see laptops on a stage, they have no clue what is recorded and what is live. When people see a realtime modular performance they will more easily connect.
