Pulsar Audio is a new plug-in brand based in France, created by a group of French and Italian friends, all engineers and musicians, with long previous experience at other brands such as Arturia and Slate Digital.
The brand made its debut with the Pulsar Echorec plug-in, released in 2019, which reproduces the famous Binson Echorec 2 magnetic disk delay and tube amplification. It has since enjoyed great success with various plug-ins intended for mixing and mastering: the Pulsar Mu compressors, Pulsar 1178, and the Pulsar Massive equalizer. The emulation of analog circuits is done with next-generation modeling techniques that produce sounds indistinguishable from the originals, while the graphical interfaces are designed to be smooth and as easy to work with as possible, and feature advanced digital metering functions rarely found in emulation plug-ins.
